2 Microsoft employees fired for breaking into president’s office, holding sit-in

Microsoft fired two employees over an office break-in amid protests against its ties to the Israel Defense Forces.

REDMOND, Wash. — The two Microsoft employees who were part of a group who broke into the president’s Redmond office Tuesday were fired, the company confirmed Wednesday.

The employees were fired following “serious breaches of company policies and our code of conduct,” a statement reads. 

One of the employees was found to have violated the Business Conduct Policy, participated in breaking into Vice Chair and President Brad Smith’s office on Tuesday, and has been arrested on two occasions, according to the company. The other was involved
