Daemeion Purdy was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison in connection to a 2024 Puyallup attempted robbery shooting that killed 22-year-old Gianna Stone.
PUYALLUP, Wash. — Daemeion Carmello Purdy, 19, who was accused of shooting and killing a woman during an attempted robbery in Puyallup last year was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison, plus three years in community custody Friday afternoon.
He was 17 years old at the time of the shooting.
As part of a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to second degree murder and second-degree assault.
Purdy was arrested in June 2024 along with Noah Maurice Loyd Branch,
