11 people stabbed at Oregon Union Gospel Mission men’s shelter, suspect in custody

Salem police said 11 people were stabbed at Union Gospel Mission men’s shelter Sunday evening, with all victims hospitalized and a suspect in custody.

SALEM, Ore. — Eleven people were stabbed Sunday night at a men’s shelter in Salem and were taken to the hospital for medical treatment, the Salem Police Department reported. The suspect is in custody, according to police.

At about 7:15 p.m., Salem police officers responded to a report that multiple people had been stabbed at the Union Gospel Mission Salem of Men’s Mission, which is located at 777 Commercial Street Northeast.
