100 cats rescued from ‘deplorable conditions’ in Buckley

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office rescued over 100 cats from a home in Buckley on Wednesday. Now, an animal cruelty investigation is underway.

BUCKLEY, Wash. — Over 100 cats were rescued on Wednesday from “deplorable conditions” inside a Buckley home and an animal cruelty investigation is underway, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. 

Buckley police officers initially received a tip about the cats and upon investigation, police found the home was unsafe for both the animals and the three adults living there.
