1 person killed in Thurston County house fire

When crews arrived, the Rochester home had heavy smoke and flames coming from the front door. One person was found dead inside along with three dogs.

ROCHESTER, Wash. — One person was killed in a house fire in Rochester Thursday morning, according to West Thurston Regional Fire Authority.

At 9:45 a.m. crews responded to a reported house fire on James Road with possible people inside.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the front door of the house, according to West Thurston Fire.
