1 dead, another airlifted after SUV carrying nine people crashes on I-90 in Kittitas County

An SUV carrying nine people went off the road and struck a Department of Transportation fence, according to Washington State Patrol.

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a crash on westbound Interstate 90 in Kittitas County on Saturday.

The crash occurred between Cle Elum and Ellensburg, two miles away from the Elk Heights exit, according to Washington State Patrol. 

The driver of an SUV went off the roadway and struck a Department of Transportation fence. There were nine people inside the SUV at the time.
