Spring Fashion 2015: Mixed Media

This year’s spring fashion shoot took us to the Olympic Sculpture Park for a sunny, stark backdrop and its greenhouse installation, Neukom Vivarium, by artist Mark Dion. We then headed in studio where set designer extraordinaire, Blanca Martinez[1], crafted graphic scenes of hand-cut paper, vintage fabric swatches, and playful props.

Concrete, paper, botanicals, cotton, leather, gems, rock, wood.

The takeaway: Mix up your style this season with monochrome textural layers, pattern on pattern (on pattern), modern pastels, and unexpected florals.

Pick up a print copy in the April issue of Seattle Met, and check out the full feature and bonus images here. Want to see it in motion? Go behind the scenes with our exclusive video[2] from the set of the shoot.
