Just Opened: World’s Largest Gucci Store in Bellevue

We threw out a head’s up about Gucci’s Bellevue arrival[1] last fall, but now it’s really real.

How real? 7,960 square feet of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and accessories.

So that’s roughly 6 or 7 Seattle homes worth of Frida Giannini[2].

A look from the fall 2014 Gucci presentation via style.com

From the company’s press release (just released this morning; perhaps the Italians are not big on long lead times?): “the store radiates a true atmosphere of luxury and reflects Gucci’s 21st century aesthetic, employing light and transparency to spectacular effects. While historic Gucci materials such as dark rosewood and marble remain integral in the store’s aesthetic, new materials such as ribbed glass, warm polished gold, smoked mirror and smoked glass have been introduced and recall the richness of the Art Deco era.”

I feel confident in saying it’s likely worth a look-see.
