Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” was among the winners at the Writers Guild Awards on Sunday night in New York City.
The supernatural horror film won for best original screenplay at the awards show, hosted by comedian Roy Wood, Jr. Meanwhile, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” nabbed the organization’s award for best adapted screenplay.
On the television side, “The Pitt” received both the best drama series and best new series wins, while “The Studio” scored the trophy for best comedy series.
