President Donald Trump used his Wednesday night address to largely blame former President Joe Biden for most of the Nation’s shortcomings while attempting to highlight his accomplishments through the first 11 months of his second term in office.
Trump’s address opened with a direct attack on his predecessor, saying he “inherited a mess” before sounding off on several political hot points like border control, inflation, transgender athletes and crime. Trump then attempted to contrast the perceived failures of the former administration with the success of his own. This was a recurring tactic throughout the roughly 19-minute speech.
