There’s a casting shakeup at “The Pitt.”
Variety has learned exclusively that Ayesha Harris, who plays senior night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis, has been promoted to series regular going into the show’s third season. In addition, Supriya Ganesh, who has played senior resident Dr. Samira Mohan since Season 1, will depart the show after Season 2.
According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Ganesh’s exit is a story-driven decision. Given that Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is a teaching hospital, it is normal for residents to come in and out. Dr. Mohan
