HBO Max’s “The Pitt” has been renewed for a third season. HBO CEO Casey Bloys made the announcement Wednesday, Jan. 7, during “The Pitt” Season 2 premiere at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.
The news comes one day before the premiere of the Emmy-winning second season of the Noah Wyle medical drama from John Wells. The series, created by R. Scott Gemmill, premiered in 2025 and tells the story of healthcare workers inside a Pittsburgh emergency room over the course of 15 episodes.
