‘Scrubs’ Revival Loses Co-Showrunner in Midst of Production: Tim Hobert Exits, Aseem Batra Stays on

The “Scrubs” revival has lost one of its two showrunners a few weeks into production, Variety can confirm. Tim Hobert has stepped down from duties co-heading the series due to creative differences, while Aseem Batra will now serve as a solo showrunner as filming continues.

Hobert and Batra co-wrote the first episode of the “Scrubs” revival, which will see original cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley reprising their roles from the original series.
