“Pharmageddon,” a provocative documentary directed by Donal O’Neill and produced by British cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra, was launched recently on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival.
The film, which builds on O’Neill and Malhotra’s previous release “First Do No Pharm,” assembles a roster of voices including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Fiona Godlee, Jay Bhattacharya MD and Dr. Vandana Shiva. It delves into the pharmaceutical industry and the rise of diet-related diseases.
