This is no April Fool: James L. Brooks, the industry titan behind TV series like “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Taxi” and “The Simpsons,” as well as films including “Broadcast News,” has been chosen to recieve the Peabody Awards‘ first-ever Industry Icon honor.
Brooks will be presented with the award at the 86th Peabody Awards ceremony on May 31 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
