International Emmy Award-winning Thai actor Aokbab Chutimon (“Hunger,” “Bad Genius”) will headline the upcoming supernatural horror film “Fortune Seekers,” with Bangkok-based Night Edge Pictures launching international sales at the Cannes Market.
The horror thriller marks a genre departure for both Chutimon and director Yanyong Kuruaungkoul, known for comedies “App War” and “Ready, Set, Love.” The film centers on Bua, a skincare clinic assistant born into misfortune who discovers a mysterious amulet allowing her to “borrow” others’ good fortune, only to unleash a malevolent spirit that threatens everything she holds dear.
