Friday Industries has acquired a significant stake in Mbrella Films, the Thai production company that specializes in international co-productions and production services throughout Southeast Asia. The deal includes both a capital injection and line of credit designed to fuel the prodco’s expansion.
The acquisition positions Friday Industries to tap into Thailand’s growing appeal as a production destination, with Mbrella offering access to diverse locations and studios across the region. Under the new arrangement, Mbrella, whose credits include “Hellbound” and “Affinity,” will be able to package tax rebate financing and minimum guarantee financing alongside its full-service production support.
