The sound mixing teams behind “F1″ and “KPop Demon Hunters” won awards in the categories of live action feature and animated feature, respectively, at the 62nd Cinema Audio Society Awards for sound mixing, held Saturday at the Beverly Hilton.
On the TV side, CAS Award winners included wins for the sound teams behind “The Pitt,” “The Studio” and “Adolescence.”
Guillermo del Toro was presented with the filmmaker honoree, and re-recording mixer Skip Lievsay was given the career achievement honor. Lievsay’s career spans over four decades, and his credits include “Gravity,” “No Country for Old Men,” “True Grit,” “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “Roma.” He has collaborated with the Coen brothers, Alfonso Cuarón, Martin Scorsese
