July 18–20Bite of Seattle [5]The annual Bite of Seattle is back, turning the Seattle Center into a massive food frenzy. Representing over 50 local restaurants and more than 30 food product vendors, the feast has a little bit of everything, and you can sample it all in small, cheap bites (or full meals, if you have the stomach). This year’s festival adds a free movie night to the mix, so you can grab some artisan popcorn and chow down to ’80s classic Back to the Future. Seattle Center, free

Sat, July 19Verse Chapter Verse: Bryan Lee O’Malley and TacocatYou may know Canadian cartoonist Bryan Lee O’Malley for his New York Times bestselling Scott Pilgrim series. This weekend, he swings by Town Hall to talk about his newest work Seconds: A Graphic Novel, which follows a chef named Katie as she juggles her restaurant business with her personal life. As part of the Verse Chapter Verse series, the event will feature a Q&A with O’Malley between brief sets by rising local pop punk foursome Tacocat. Town Hall, $5[6]
