‘Boots’ Canceled by Netflix After First Season

Netflix has canceled “Boots” after just one season, Variety has learned. The coming-of-age queer drama series debuted on the streamer on Oct. 9.

Executive produced by Norman Lear, who greenlighted the show back in 2023, and created by Andy Parker, “Boots” was based on Greg Cope White’s book “The Pink Marine.” Miles Heizer starred as Cameron Cope, a disillusioned, closeted ‘90s teen who signs up for the Marine Corps with his best friend Ray McAffey, played by Liam Oh.
