Amazon Prime Video‘s “Barbershop” TV series is building out its cast.
Variety has learned that Punkie Johnson (“SNL,” “Bottoms”), Brett Gray (“On My Block,” “Star Trek: Prodigy”), Roy Wood Jr. (“The Daily Show,” “Confess, Fletch”), and E.J. Bonilla (“The Old Man,” “Gemini Man”) have all joined the comedy show in series regular roles.
Exact character details are being kept under wraps, but Gray will play Kofi, Johnson will play Stella, Wood will play Robert, and Bonilla will play Fernan. The new additions will star alongside series lead Jermaine Fowler. As previously reported, the show will continue the story of the “Barbershop” film franchise.
