Barbara Lawrence, Longtime Talent Manager, Dies at 82

Barbara Lawrence, a longtime entertainment manager, died Jan. 2 in Manhattan. She was 82.

Lawrence died on a family vacation due to natural causes.
 
Through her years as a talent manager in the entertainment industry, Lawrence was the longtime manager of Rue McClanahan (“The Golden Girls“) and Alan Rachins (“Dharma and Greg” and “LA Law”), and announced the former’s death to the press in 2010. Lawrence was also an early manager for Chris Evans (“The Avengers”) and Traylor Howard (“Monk”), among others.
