Arch Manning led the Texas Longhorns to an inspiring comeback win over No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday night after trailing 23-3 in the second half. The Buckeyes’ latest meltdown under head coach Ryan Day elevated Texas to No. 1 in this week’s AP Poll, while Manning continued to build his case as a potential top pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Manning was nails down the stretch of the win, but there was a moment at Monday’s press conference that he would probably like back.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian blew off a post-game interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe in a viral moment in the immediate aftermath of the win. Manning conducted his post-game interview without a problem, but he was still thinking about Sark neglecting Rowe on Monday. When asked about how much post-game content he consumed, Manning said that he saw an AI edit of Sarkisian’s interview with Rowe and started laughing and pointing. “Of him slapping Holly Rowe,” Manning said as he continued to laugh.

AI content is such a wasteland. Why is anyone spending their precious time on Earth telling the computer to make a video of a football coach slapping a woman reporter? Sure, some immature college students might laugh at it, but the rest of the world is ready to judge them the second it becomes public.
Uncle Peyton and Uncle Eli were each in the spotlight for a long time, and they will probably have some advice for their young nephew after seeing this clip. Peyton Manning faced a sexual assault allegation during his time in college in 1996 after inappropriate behavior with a trainer. There’s nothing funny about a man smacking a woman, and there’s also nothing cool or interesting about AI content.
Manning’s extra big laugh in the video when he scanned the crowd for someone else who saw the video is especially disappointing. Here’s a link to the video Manning thought was so funny. This is extremely nasty stuff to laugh at, and the fact that he brought this up in a public press conference shows how childish he is at 22 years old.
Manning is young and he will learn. This is all pretty upsetting, though. A couple media lessons before he enters the NFL probably wouldn’t hurt. Someone needs to give Arch a stern talking to.
