Homeowner in Kent shoots alleged intruder during home invasion, police say

A homeowner in Kent shot a suspected intruder during a home invasion as other armed suspects escaped, according to police.

KENT, Wash. — A home invasion in Kent early Monday morning ended with a 24-year-old man shooting a suspected intruder after multiple armed suspects forced their way into a home, according to police.

Officers with the Kent Police Department were dispatched just before 3 a.m. to the 3900 block of Hampton Way after a resident reported hearing a loud bang and people inside the house.
