LONG BEACH, Wash. — Another dead whale has been found ashore near Long Beach and Seaview, Cascadia Research Collective say.
The whale reportedly washed up Wednesday, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Cascadia Research Collective and Portland State University conducted a necropsy of the whale on Friday, the agency added.
Matt Winters has lived in Ilwaco for the last 35 years, and told KGW it’s both rare and unfortunate to see so many dead whales.
