The fire happened late Saturday night into Sunday. The American Red Cross said dozens of people and multiple pets are now displaced.
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — An overnight apartment fire in Mountlake Terrace displaced 22 people, including a child, and about 15 pets.
South County Fire officials said crews responded just after midnight to the Taluswood Apartments and found the three-story complex engulfed in flames with heavy smoke.
Two adults in their 20s and a dog were rescued from an upper unit, officials said. All residents were able to escape safely, with firefighters assisting people from 12 units adjacent to those affected.
