5 taken to the hospital after fiery crash in Lakewood

An active fuel spill from one of the vehicles was contained and reported to the Department of Ecology.

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Five people were taken to local hospitals after a two-car crash in Lakewood Friday.

When crews arrived to the scene in the 3200 block of South 84th Street around 5 p.m. they found both cars on fire. One of the vehicles was close enough to a home to cause damage to it, according to West Pierce Fire.

An active fuel spill from one of the vehicles was contained and reported to the Department of Ecology.
