Seattle man charged after prosecutors say stolen truck rammed 2 patrol cars

Court records say the driver got out and ran after the pickup was boxed in by Seattle officers.

SEATTLE — A Seattle man has been charged after prosecutors say he drove a stolen pickup truck into two Seattle police vehicles and then tried to run from officers in South Seattle.

King County prosecutors charged Randy James Monsegur with possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle, second-degree malicious mischief and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

The incident happened April 10 near Ninth Avenue South and South Dakota Street, according to court documents.
