A Pierce County Sheriff’s major will serve jail time for driving under the influence, causing a crash and injuring a woman in July 2025.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Pierce County Maj. Chad Dickerson has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and causing a crash that injured a woman in July 2025.
In October 2025, Dickerson – a 24-year veteran of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office – was charged with felony vehicular assault with a DUI enhancement and a misdemeanor of obstructing a law enforcement officer.
He retired from the department two days after he was charged.
