Filmhub Acquires Indie Dramedy ‘Burt’ Ahead of World Parkinson’s Day (EXCLUSIVE)

Global sales and distribution company Filmhub has acquired the rights to “Burt,” a micro-indie dramedy about an estranged father and son navigating Parkinson’s Disease.

The film stars Oliver Cooper and Burt Berger, who plays the title role of Burt, an aging street musician with Parkinson’s who is confronted by a young man (Cooper) claiming to be his son. The black-and-white shot movie unfolds over one intimate weekend following the life-altering encounter. “Burt” was inspired by Berger’s real life, and has been lauded for its moving and authentic portrayal of living with Parkinson’s.
