Robert Child, 60, is charged for allegedly killing his estranged wife, Anna Child, and her boyfriend in Hoodsport on Tuesday.
MASON COUNTY, Wash. — Mason County prosecutors charged Robert Child with murder and burglary Tuesday following a double homicide in Hoodsport after he allegedly killed his estranged wife, Anna Child, and her boyfriend, Jason Hilde — just one day after a judge granted Anna a protection order against Robert.
A Mason County judge had approved the protection order Monday. By Tuesday afternoon, Anna and Hilde were dead.
Neighbor Caleb McGill said he heard shotgun blasts coming from the home next door Tuesday afternoon.
