Light rail 2 Line to officially connect east and west sides of Lake Washington

Sound Transit’s long-delayed 2 Line set to open across Lake Washington, expanding the network to 63 miles after years of construction setbacks.

SEATTLE — Starting Saturday morning at 10 a.m., western Washington commuters will be able to travel across Lake Washington via light rail. 

The long delayed 2 Line will officially be in service, running all the way from Redmond through Seattle to Lynnwood. 

The line has faced years-long delays from a variety of issues, finally opening almost two decades after residents voted to make it happen.
