Police allege a 40-year-old man got into a secure area of the museum, damaged glass exhibits and tried to stab a security officer with some of the glass shards.
SEATTLE — A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday night for allegedly causing more than $240,000 in damage to glass exhibits and attempting to stab a security officer with a glass shard at Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle Center.
Police say they responded after receiving reports that the man was damaging glass plant sculptures in a secure area of the museum. When they arrived, they found large pieces of the museum’s sculptures shattered around the area.
