Federal Way man arrested after 6 wounded in shooting following Super Bowl

Investigators say the gun used in a San José shooting was found during a search of the suspect’s Federal Way home.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Police in California say a Washington state man has been arrested in Federal Way in connection with a Super Bowl Sunday shooting in downtown San José that left six adults hurt.

The shooting happened Feb. 8, 2026, at about 10:50 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Clara Street and Market Street, according to the San José Police Department (SJPD).
