Tornado Watch in Effect for Large Portions of Pennsylvania, NJ, and Maryland

A tornado watch has been issued for large portions of the Mid-Atlantic region, including areas of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware, as meteorologists warn of conditions favorable for severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes through Monday evening.

The alert, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center, will remain in effect until 7:00 p.m. EDT on March 16, covering dozens of counties across the region and several nearby coastal waters.
