A powerful winter storm sweeping across the Upper Midwest has prompted the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a blizzard warning for 12 counties in Illinois, with dangerous travel conditions and strong winds expected from Sunday evening into Monday afternoon.
Forecasters say the storm system, already impacting parts of Iowa and Wisconsin, is moving eastward and could significantly disrupt transportation and daily activities across northwest and western Illinois.
