New York-based production company Seaview has launched a TV division, which will be run by former A24 exec Jess Lubben, Variety has learned. Also, as part of the news, Seaview has sealed a first-look deal with “Severance” production company Fifth Season.
Seaview began life focused on Broadway productions, before branching out into a growing film business. Now, as it aims to become a multi-platform entertainment shingle, Lubben has been tasked with overseeing development and production of scripted television projects. That includes a focus on working with theater artists who want to move into television, as well as established TV writers and creators.
