Tornado Watch in Effect for Most of Ohio, Seek Shelter if Warnings Are Issued

A tornado watch remains in effect across much of Ohio and surrounding areas as severe weather conditions threaten several states on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Meteorologists warn that atmospheric conditions could support the development of tornadoes, damaging winds, and severe thunderstorms through the afternoon.

The watch, issued by multiple NWS forecast offices and the Storm Prediction Center, covers dozens of counties across Ohio as well as portions of Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Authorities say residents should remain alert to rapidly changing weather conditions and be prepared to take shelter if warnings are issued.
