A powerful winter system is set to slam parts of Washington state this week, prompting the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a Blizzard Warning across mountainous regions affecting multiple counties as forecasters warn of life-threatening travel conditions and massive snowfall.
Meteorologists say the storm will intensify starting Tuesday evening and could bring snow totals of up to four feet, winds near 45 mph, and near-zero visibility in some of the hardest-hit areas.
