A widespread Winter Weather Advisory has been issued across parts of Wisconsin and Michigan, with forecasters warning of snow, freezing rain, and icy road conditions that could disrupt travel through Wednesday evening.
The advisories, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS), cover numerous counties in northern Wisconsin, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and northern Lower Michigan. Officials say the combination of accumulating snow and periods of freezing rain could make travel dangerous during peak commuting times.
According to the NWS, slippery roads, reduced visibility, and possible ice accumulation are expected to create hazardous driving conditions, especially from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.
