Daniel Jones’ shocking contract demand as NFL free agent actually makes sense

Daniel Jones knows the Indianapolis Colts need him much more than he needs them, which has led to a wild contract ask. Jones reportedly turned down a three-year, $100M offer from Indianapolis, which would have paid him almost identically to the contract Sam Darnold signed with the Seahawks a year ago. That offer made sense with the shared DNA of breakout performances after being freed from bad New York-based teams — but Jones said no.
