A tornado watch with occasional tornado warnings remains in effect across large parts of Arkansas early Saturday morning, with forecasters warning residents to stay alert as conditions remain favorable for severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes.
The alert, issued by the National Weather Service and the Storm Prediction Center, began at 3:20 a.m. CST on March 7 and is scheduled to remain active until 8:00 a.m. CST. Officials say the watch covers dozens of counties across Arkansas and extends into parts of northeastern Texas.
