DFW euthanizes cougar seen roaming in Bellingham

The cougar attacked a dog over the weekend near the front door of a home.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Department of Fish & Wildlife confirmed it euthanized the cougar believed to be seen roaming through a Bellingham neighborhood recently, sparking concern from residents.

On the morning of Feb. 28, the cougar attacked a small dog near the front door of a home. The cougar was located and killed.
