SEATTLE — As tensions rise in the Middle East and missile strikes target U.S. allies in the Gulf, some Americans abroad say finding a safe way home is proving difficult.
Rick Olsen of Seattle is among them.
Olsen had planned a short layover in Doha, Qatar, while traveling to Botswana for vacation. Instead, he says the trip quickly turned into a tense wait inside his hotel after fighting between the United States, Israel and Iran escalated over the weekend.
