Michael B. Jordan Wins Best Actor for ‘Sinners’ at Actor Awards in Oscar Race Shakeup: ‘I’m So Honored and Privileged’

Michael B. Jordan shook up Oscar season as he took home the Actor Award for best male performance in a leading role. He won the statue for playing twin brothers Smoke and Stack in the supernatural thriller “Sinners.”

“I wasn’t expecting this at all,” he said from the podium at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Viola Davis, who presented the award, couldn’t contain her enthusiasm and let out a joyful scream as she read Jordan’s name from the envelope.
