The trooper suffered minor injuries but was able to assist in tracking down the suspect.
TACOMA, Wash. — A driver was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after reportedly striking a Washington State Patrol vehicle at the scene of a crash on I-5 in Tacoma early Saturday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, troopers were investigating a collision near South 72nd Street when a sedan drove through the scene using the right shoulder as a travel lane and hit a patrol car. The suspect vehicle continued southbound.
Washington State Patrol said that the trooper was outside the patrol car at the time of impact.
