Pierce County teen accused of plotting mass shooting appears in court

The teen was in court for a hearing Wednesday. KING 5 learned he was booked back into Remann Hall in November, after being out on electronic home monitoring.

TACOMA, Wash. — A 13-year-old accused of plotting a mass shooting in Pierce County was returned to juvenile detention back in November after prosecutors believe he violated the conditions of his release.

The teen was ordered to be on electronic home monitoring at the end of September, but that release was revoked just before Thanksgiving.

The boy, who lives about 20 minutes south of Tacoma, is charged with attempted threat to bomb or injure a school, unlawful possession
