1 dead, 2 lifeflighted after 2-car crash near Sequim

A head-on collision on U.S. 101 near Sequim left one man dead and sent two other people to the hospital.

SEQUIM, Wash. — A man died in a head-on crash on U.S. 101 near Sequim on Sunday. 

The highway was fully blocked for multiple hours Sunday night after the crash occurred near milepost 267 around 7:30 p.m.

The crash happened when a westbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck and eastbound vehicle head on, according to Washington State Patrol. 

The driver of the first vehicle was flown to Providence Regional Medical Center. Drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash,
