A teen injured his knee trying to help a woman who had fallen into an avalanche chute on Sunday. Both had to be airlifted from the mountain.
MASON COUNTY, Wash. — Rescue crews had to airlift two hikers from Mount Ellinor in the Olympics late Sunday.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a woman who had fallen around 1:15 p.m.
The 51-year-old woman fell into an avalanche chute along a winter route and was suspected of having internal bleeding.
