An urgent winter weather message has been issued for four counties in northern Arizona, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warns of accumulating snow and powerful wind gusts set to impact the region beginning Monday night.
According to the NWS office in Flagstaff, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 8 p.m. Monday until 5 p.m. MST Tuesday for the Kaibab Plateau, Western and Eastern Mogollon Rim, and the White Mountains.
The advisory covers communities including Flagstaff, Williams, Forest Lakes, Munds Park, Jacob Lake, Heber, and Greer.
